BECOS FX has announced the release of the CompIQ Twain Pro Compressor MK2, an updated dual-band/stacked compressor pedal suitable for bass, guitar, and other electric instruments.
The CompIQ Twain Pro MK2 offers advanced features such as Feed Forward and Feed-Back compression modes for each band, a multi-function switch that combines these modes, and a variable Side-Chain Filter with cut or boost options. The pedal has been redesigned to remove the saturation engines from the dry line and instead focuses on precision in dynamic control, ensuring clean, uncoloured sound processing.
This model boasts an improved input preamp that allows for a ±12dB boost or cut, enhancing its adaptability to different musical styles and instrument outputs. The pedal also includes a signal peak level indicator to monitor both input and output levels effectively.
Key upgrades in the MK2 version include the optional DITOS transformer-balanced DI output, which facilitates direct connections to mixing desks or recording interfaces. The pedal is built with high-quality components, including dual 4320 THAT Analog Engines® and Blackmer® VCA’s, which provide robust, reliable performance.
The CompIQ Twain Pro Compressor MK2 is designed to offer flexible compression settings that cater to the nuanced needs of professional musicians. It allows for the stacking of compression engines in series, providing a range of effects from subtle compression to a more pronounced, optical-like compression feel.
The pedal is housed in a durable, black-powdered aluminium enclosure and is backed by a three-year international, transferable warranty. It is compatible with a 9-18V DC external power supply, which is not included in the purchase.
The CompIQ Twain Pro Compressor MK2 is priced at €319.00, excluding VAT, or €359.00 with the optional DITOS feature. It is available for purchase directly from BECOS FX or through selected retailers starting from July 30, 2024. For further details and to place an order, please visit BECOS FX’s official website.
