BOSS has introduced the ME-90B Bass Multiple Effects, a sophisticated bass processor designed for ease of use in live settings. The device features a comprehensive suite of 61 effects and 10 advanced bass preamps with AIRD technology, all housed in a durable unit built for touring.
The ME-90B is engineered to meet the specific needs of bassists, featuring easy operation through BOSS’s traditional interface, allowing quick effects management akin to using stompboxes. The unit includes eight footswitches and an expression pedal to enable dynamic performance control. It supports both manual and memory modes, with 36 preset multi-effect configurations. Each footswitch is uniquely color-coded, enhancing usability on dark stages.
Key features include essential bass effects such as compressors and pitch shifters, alongside specialty effects for drive, synth, and a variety of modulation, delay, and reverb settings. The preamp section boasts ten types, ranging from BOSS’s proprietary models to accurate emulations of classic bass amps. An added blend knob allows mixing the direct bass signal for clearer sound output, and additional external effects can be integrated through the send/return loop.
The ME-90B is designed for universal connectivity, compatible with mono, stereo, and balanced DI outputs, and supports direct USB recording. It’s also equipped for silent practice or jam sessions via its headphone output. BOSS Tone Studio software enhances its flexibility, enabling tone customization and memory management for different performance needs.
The BOSS ME-90B Bass Multiple Effects is currently available for purchase from authorised BOSS retailers, priced at £323,50.
