Charvel has launched the new Pro-Mod San Dimas Bass PJ IV and PJ IV MAH, crafted for seasoned players seeking high performance and innovative features.
Pro-Mod San Dimas Bass PJ IV
The Pro-Mod San Dimas Bass PJ IV is available in six vibrant finishes: Sonic Blue, Satin Black, Platinum Pearl, Metallic Black, Lime Green Metallic, and Mystic Blue. Priced from $999 to $1,049.99, this model combines DiMarzio Model J DP123 bridge pickup and DiMarzio Model P DP122 middle pickup. The pickups feature active electronics, including a three-band EQ and a push/pull volume selector for active and passive operation.
The neck is constructed from caramelised maple with a hand-rubbed satin urethane finish and graphite reinforcement, ensuring stability and smooth playability. The fingerboard, with a compound radius of 12″-16″, allows for fast and comfortable playing across its 20 jumbo frets. The alder body, finished in gloss, complements the various colour options.
The hardware includes a Charvel HiMass bridge, chrome hardware, and Charvel open-gear tuning machines for excellent tuning stability and sustain. The basses also feature Luminlay side dots for improved visibility on dark stages.

The Pro-Mod San Dimas Bass PJ IV MAH is available in Satin Ferrari Red and Natural Mahogany finishes, priced from $999.99 to $1,099.99. Similar to the PJ IV, it features DiMarzio Model J DP123 bridge pickup and DiMarzio Model P DP122 middle pickup with active electronics, including a three-band EQ and a push/pull volume selector for active and passive operation.
