Divinity Roxx introduces ‘World Wide Playdate’ for young listeners

Grammy-nominated artist Divinity Roxx releases 'World Wide Playdate' on 9 August 2024. Produced with Wayne Gerard and Mary Brown, this album offers ten tracks designed for children, combining hip-hop and pop with positive messages.

Grammy-nominated recording artist Divinity Roxx is set to release World Wide Playdate on 9 August 2024. This collection of ten original tracks, aimed at children twelve and under, marks her return to the family music genre three years after her debut in this category with Ready Set Go!. The new release is designed to spread joy and emphasise the power of play.

World Wide Playdate draws inspiration from the music of the 1990s, featuring catchy hooks, lively lyrics, and engaging beats. The album aims to foster connections and encourage positive messages through hip-hop and pop singalongs. Themes of friendship, family, self-empowerment, and dream realisation are prevalent throughout the album, aligning with the National Institute For Play’s assertion that play is essential for mitigating anxiety and promoting emotional well-being.

The album includes notable collaborations with various artists. Features include Tarriona “Tank” Ball from Tank and the Bangas, Mumu Fresh, Victor Wooten, Malcolm Jamal Warner, and Teemanay. The Genesis Innovation Academy Cheer Team also contributed, alongside Divinity’s niece and God-daughter. Producer Wayne Gerard and songwriter Mary Brown collaborated with Divinity to bring the album to life.

World Wide Playdate will be available for streaming on various platforms from 9 August.
