Dunlop has launched a new line of bass strings developed in collaboration with Metallica’s bassist Robert Trujillo, aimed at accommodating his energetic playing style and rigorous touring demands. The Robert Trujillo Bass Strings are engineered to enhance Trujillo’s distinct sound, featuring a design that emphasizes a clear top end, solid midrange punch, and a focused low end to ensure the bass cuts through in a band setting.
Trujillo’s input on the strings highlights their balanced nature, noting, “Always trust your ears, attitude, and fingers. These strings are the perfect balance of power, tone, and resonance on wood.”
The strings cater to players with non-tapered setups, offering both Nickel Wound and Stainless Steel options in four-and five-string sets. Available now, the four-string sets are priced at $30, and the five-string sets at $35.
