Fender has introduced the Bassman pedal line, a new series of effects pedals tailored specifically for bassists. Inspired by the legacy of the Bassman amplifier, the lineup includes five pedals: Driver, Fuzz, Delay, Reverb, and Compressor. Each pedal combines analog and digital technology to enhance low-end tones while maintaining clarity.
The Bassman pedal line is available now, with prices starting at £94.99 GBP (€109.00 EUR / $119.99 USD). For more information, visit Fender’s website or authorised retailers.
The Pedal Lineup
Bassman Driver
The Bassman Driver offers a range of gain options, from light breakup to heavy distortion, while preserving low-end clarity. It features JFET circuitry and dynamic clipping stages to replicate tube amp behaviour. With a blend control and tone-sculpting switches for mids and clipping, the Driver ensures tonal flexibility.
Bassman Fuzz
The Fuzz pedal delivers decades of bass fuzz tones in a compact design. A three-position focus switch allows players to tailor the fuzz to specific frequency ranges, and the blend knob keeps clean lows in the mix. It provides rich textures suitable for any riff.
Bassman Delay
The Bassman Delay uses two DSP algorithms to offer smooth analog or crisp digital repeats. A low-frequency shaping switch adjusts the presence of delays, and controls for time, feedback, and tone provide precision over the effect.
Bassman Reverb
With DSP algorithms crafted for bass, the Bassman Reverb adds depth and space while preventing muddiness. A low cut control and pre-delay switch maintain clarity, making it suitable for subtle ambience or expansive soundscapes.
Bassman Compressor
The Compressor employs RMS compression technology for professional-quality dynamics control. Simple settings, including switches for ratio and release, offer effective compression with ease. A blend control enables integration of clean tones for a balanced output.
