Genzler Kinetix 800 bass amplifier Offers Class A Tube Preamp and 800-Watt output

The Genzler Kinetix 800 bass amp delivers versatile high-power performance with its Class A tube preamp and 800-watt output.

Genzler Amplification has introduced the Kinetix 800, an 800-watt bass amplifier that merges a Class A all-valve preamp with a high-output Class D power amp. Weighing slightly more than 7 pounds, this compact unit departs from the brand’s established Magellan solid-state platforms.

The Kinetix 800 is designed to create a dynamic connection between the musician’s playing style, the instrument’s sound, and the amplifier’s tonal feedback. Genzler states, “The KINETIX 800 was designed to be that responsive, kinetic connection of interactive energy between the player’s expressiveness, their technique, and the tonal response coming back to them from the amplifier and speaker system – engaging with big, full notes, quickness, and snap when pushed, or slow harmonic bloom when sustained.”

The amp’s six-stage Class A preamp is powered by three 12AX7 valves operating at 300 volts. It features a five-band EQ with a Lean/Fat/Thick switch to adjust the tonal foundation. A three-way switch situated before the Gain and Volume controls serves as a Mute or Gain Boost option.

Connectivity options on the Kinetix 800 include a valve-driven XLR direct output, an auxiliary input, a headphone output, a tuner output, and dual Speakon connectors. This array of features offers flexibility for various playing environments and recording setups.

The Genzler Kinetix 800 bass amp is available for $1,299.99.

With over two decades of experience in the music industry, I've worn many hats - from running a record label and a PR agency to contributing to esteemed publications like Metal Hammer and Terrorizer. I've also authored books on iconic subjects such as Kurt Cobain's guitars and The Beatles. My journey led me to the editor's chair of Guitarrista, a print magazine dedicated to the crafts of guitar playing and building. Despite this diverse background, my true passion has always leaned towards the bass guitar. I have a particular fondness for offset basses and play a Thunderbird.
