IK Multimedia launches TONEX ONE: AI-Powered Modelling Technology for every pedalboard

Discover the new TONEX ONE by IK Multimedia, an ultra-compact pedalboard addition with AI Machine Modelling technology, now available for pre-order.

IK Multimedia unveiled TONEX ONE, a new addition to their TONEX Ecosystem, designed to integrate advanced AI Machine Modelling technology into any pedalboard size. Aimed at budget-conscious guitar and bass players, TONEX ONE offers a cost-effective solution to accessing high-quality tones for live performances.

TONEX ONE offers modeled amps, cabs, and stomps, and is equipped with three playable slots. Each slot can be configured on the fly from the 20 Tone Model presets available in its active memory. Users can also swiftly upload additional presets from a local library, the ToneNET sharing platform, or directly from their own equipment using the included TONEX software via a USB-C connection.

The mini pedal packs a complete rig’s worth of features into its design, including studio-grade EQ, compressor, reverb, noise gate, and a smart tuner. Users can store up to 20 presets, with over 200 Premium Tone Models included, and explore an expanding library of over 25,000 Tone Models available on ToneNET. The dual performance modes — Stomp and Dual presets — along with versatile output options, cater to various live and studio needs.

Moreover, TONEX ONE serves as a USB-C audio interface, allowing musicians to record directly onto a computer with low-latency monitoring. The versatility extends to its ‘no cab’ and ‘cab’ options, making it adaptable for use with real guitar cabinets or speaker emulators.

TONEX ONE is now available for pre-order through the IK online store and authorized dealers worldwide, priced at €179.99, with units expected to ship by mid-May. Taxes are additional.

With over two decades of experience in the music industry, I've worn many hats - from running a record label and a PR agency to contributing to esteemed publications like Metal Hammer and Terrorizer. I've also authored books on iconic subjects such as Kurt Cobain's guitars and The Beatles. My journey led me to the editor's chair of Guitarrista, a print magazine dedicated to the crafts of guitar playing and building. Despite this diverse background, my true passion has always leaned towards the bass guitar. I have a particular fondness for offset basses and play a Thunderbird.
