MXR BASS DI+ M80

The MXR Bass D.I.+ (M80) provides bass players with a D.I., preamp, 3-band EQ, and distortion channels. Its noise gate trigger control eliminates unwanted hum, making it ideal for live performances and recording sessions.

The MXR Bass D.I.+ (M80) is a versatile pedal designed for bass players who require a combination of high-quality sound shaping tools in a compact and durable unit. It includes a D.I., distinct clean and distortion channels, an advanced EQ, and a noise gate trigger control to eliminate unwanted noise.

The Bass D.I.+ offers a comprehensive suite of features. It can be powered using a 9-volt battery or various power supplies such as the Dunlop ECB003, DC Brick, Iso-Brick, or Mini Iso-Brick (sold separately).

The pedal combines a direct input for live performances and recording, a preamp, and finely tuned EQ, along with the ability to add distortion to your sound. The robust construction ensures it can endure intense use, making it suitable for demanding gigs. The pedal’s colour switch allows users to quickly engage a preset EQ for added convenience.

Tone adjustment is made easy through a three-band EQ, which provides precise control over your bass, mid, and treble frequencies. The gain knob allows for fine-tuning the level of distortion, which can then be blended seamlessly into the clean signal. The adjustable noise gate helps to reduce hum and hiss while increasing sustain.

Connectivity options include both XLR and parallel 1/4″ outputs, and a phantom power switch, making the pedal compatible with a wide range of equipment setups.

The MXR Bass D.I.+ is available through authorised distributors and online retailers.

With over two decades of experience in the music industry, I've worn many hats - from running a record label and a PR agency to contributing to esteemed publications like Metal Hammer and Terrorizer. I've also authored books on iconic subjects such as Kurt Cobain's guitars and The Beatles. My journey led me to the editor's chair of Guitarrista, a print magazine dedicated to the crafts of guitar playing and building. Despite this diverse background, my true passion has always leaned towards the bass guitar. I have a particular fondness for offset basses and play a Thunderbird.
