Orange Amplification has announced updates to its AD200 bass head and the range of UK-built bass cabinets.
The new AD200 model features a clean switch and an improved three-band EQ, expanding its tonal range. Additionally, a new output transformer has been added, providing increased power at 30Hz for better low-frequency response.
Maintenance has also been simplified in the new design. Each output valve now includes a 12-turn bias pot, allowing for easier adjustment and valve matching. The amp supports both KT88 and 6550 valves, ensuring compatibility with various tonal preferences.
The front panel design has been updated to reflect the company’s classic 1970s style, with the original ‘bubble-writing’ logo and ‘pics-only’ hieroglyphs, covered in Orange’s distinctive Tolex.
The bass cabinets, including the OBC810C, OBC410HC, and OBC115C models, have also been updated. They now feature Celestion Pulse XL bass speakers, which offer a tight low-end and warm mid-range. The OBC410HC model has been modified to reduce weight and improve low-end clarity.
The updated AD200 bass head and the new bass cabinets are available for purchase through authorised Orange Amplification dealers. For more information, visit orangeamps.com.
