Peter Hook & The Light announce full album performances of New Order’s ‘Get Ready’ for April 2025

Peter Hook & The Light will perform New Order's 'Get Ready' in full during UK shows in April 2025, alongside Joy Division and New Order greatest hits.

Peter Hook & The Light have announced a series of live performances in April 2025, where they will perform New Order’s album Get Ready in full for the first time. These UK shows will also feature an additional set of greatest hits from both Joy Division and New Order, celebrating the expansive legacy of Hook’s former bands. The performances are scheduled for 17th April at the Marble Factory in Bristol, 18th April at Troxy in London, and 19th April at the O2 Victoria Warehouse in Manchester.

In the September issue of Bass Empire, now available on Magzter, Hook reflected on the upcoming shows and the significance of revisiting Get Ready: “Next year we’re playing the next New Order album. We’ve played all the ones up to Get Ready. So, we’re planning to play Get Ready in full next year. It would be great to get those tracks back and add them to my arsenal. When we were together as New Order, we could play about 17 songs at most. With The Light, all five of us can play 100 songs right off the bat, and it’s fantastic.” He further commented, somewhat humorously, that his extensive repertoire might help stave off dementia: “I’m hoping that knowing all these songs and words will keep dementia at bay.”

Tickets for these performances will be available through a pre-sale starting on Wednesday, 11th September at 10 am via the band’s official website, with general sales beginning on Friday, 13th September.

With over two decades of experience in the music industry, I've worn many hats - from running a record label and a PR agency to contributing to esteemed publications like Metal Hammer and Terrorizer. I've also authored books on iconic subjects such as Kurt Cobain's guitars and The Beatles. My journey led me to the editor's chair of Guitarrista, a print magazine dedicated to the crafts of guitar playing and building. Despite this diverse background, my true passion has always leaned towards the bass guitar. I have a particular fondness for offset basses and play a Thunderbird.
