Warwick has introduced two new limited edition basses: the Masterbuilt Thumb NT LTD 2024 and the Teambuilt Thumb BO LTD 2024, both featuring walnut in their design.
The Masterbuilt version is distinguished by its solid flamed walnut body and a combination neck of wenge and roasted flamed maple. It includes a Tigerstripe ebony fingerboard with 24 frets, using Warwick’s Invisible Fret Technology and simple Abalone dot inlays. For pickups, it employs a Bartolini MM-style humbucker at the bridge and a single coil in the neck position, controlled by an active 3-way preamp with a rechargeable lithium battery.
The Teambuilt model, on the other hand, uses a bolt-on neck construction and a simpler walnut body with a flamed walnut top. It shares the same Tigerstripe ebony fingerboard and pickup configuration as the Masterbuilt but uses an MEC preamp with a two-band EQ instead.
The Masterbuilt Thumb NT LTD 2024 is priced at $9,608 for the four-string and $10,376 for the five-string version. The Teambuilt version is more accessible, with prices of $5,069 for the four-string and $5,263 for the five-string model.
